Florida Trip

Daniel and I took a trip down to Florida on March 3rd it was a lot of fun. We flew down which was fun because it was Daniels first time flying and he was a little nervous. After the first plane he decide that flying was not bad at all. We then had to take a taxi to grandma's house which as Daniel says was a lot scarier than the flying. The driver didn't know where he was going and his driving skills were not so great. We got to hang out the grandma, Anne, Caleb, and Elizabeth on Thursday, then on Friday Mom came down and we went to grandpa's hospital they are building a new part to the lab and are going to name it after him. On Saturday we went to Coaco Beach where we spent the morning and afternoon. It was a bit chilly and there were manawars washed up on the shore so I did not go in the water but Mom, Daniel, and Caleb braved it. I ended up getting a sunburn, but whats new with that. On Sunday we went for pancakes at the Old Spanish Sugar Mill at Deleon Springs it was a tasty breakfast. Then Mom, Daniel, and I went to Blue Springs to see if there were any manitees but unfortunately there wern't only some rather large gar. So then we headed to Gainesville. On Monday Mom gave us a tour of her campus, we went to lake Alice where we saw a couple of gators and several softshell turtles. Then we went to the Museum where they have a really great butterfly house with many different butterflies, birds, and plants. We also went to eat at Leonardo's the calzone was awesome. Later that night we went to watch the bats that live in these two huge bat houses right on campus it was really cool I will try to upload the video. Then Tuesday it was back to Orlando to hang out with the rest of the family some more and then back home on Wednesday. The trip was a lot of fun and both Daniel and I were really bumbed to have to leave, it made us both want to move to Florida asap.

Baby Anthony

Hey y'all we went to the doctors again on the 1st of February and had a sonogram done to check the anatomy of the baby. We got to see his heart and brain and all the other organs that the tech said were there but I wasn't sure what she was pointing at, it all looks the same on those monitors. Everything looks good and it is a boy for sure. He weighs about 8 ounces right now and I am 18 weeks and 1 day (how they can tell that close is beyond me) but that puts the due date on July 4 instead of June 30.

We also got a lot of snow that day after we got home from the doctor I checked the weather channel and all it said was blizzard. I thought that was funny, but needless to say that after we got home we didn't go back out again. The next day Daniel had to clear off the drive way and I must say he did a much better job this time then he did the last snow we got. He was out there for a long time but when I opened the door to check on him I realized that he was having fun building a snow fort. Daniel and the dogs could all fit inside it together, it was really funny to watch them all in there.

Fun in the Snow

So we finally got our first snow fall of the season around the second week of January and Daniel and I decided to take the dogs out for some fun in the snow. First, however, Daniel was supposed to clear the snow from the driveway, but that turned into throwing snow at the dogs. So the driveway didn't get cleared off at all and it half melted and turned into ice which lead to me getting the truck stuck on the driveway and unable to get it in the garage, which Daniel thought was really funny. Poor Gus loves the snow but his feet get really cold so he doesn't want to play in it for to long. Neither Daniel or I were all too happy about the snow because that ment he wasn't going to be working a whole lot. That leads to low income and he is home all day on my days off and is bugging me to go do stuff which I don't want to do because its my day off. Anyway we did have some fun with the dogs and I hope these videos play so you all can see.

Baby

Daniel and I also found out that we were pregnant at the end of October, it came as a big surprise. I had gone to the doctor for a check up and he came back and informed me that I was pregnant. We now know that I am currently 17 weeks and that the due date is June 30, 2011. Things had been slightly rough for me during the first trimester I had morning sickness fairly bad, which really sucked because when I did throw up there was nothing in my stomach to come out so it made it fairly painful. Work was somewhat difficult also because I can no longer clean any of the animal cages, not that I am complaining, but the manager wasn't sure what to do at first. I was afraid they were going to demote me. However they kept me as the manager and had me clean the fish tanks and the guy that was cleaning the fish tanks is now cleaning the animal cages. I don't mind cleaning the fish tanks because it is a lot easier then the other cages and it is kind of relaxing and peaceful people don't really bother me when I have my arm in a fish tank. The only concern I have is if I will be able to climb the step ladder when I get bigger.
I had an ultra sound done on December 30 which was able to confirm that I was 14 weeks at the time also that they think it may be a boy. The tech said it still may be to early to tell yet but she thought that it was a boy. If it is Daniel and I were leaning towards naming him Anthony Efrain, in Spanish that means God's gift, however it is really strange to pronounce.

Soccer Again

Daniel had his Championship game in October after a very long season of soccer playing. They played in two different leagues this summer and I must say that the second league they played in was much nicer and more professional. The fields were clean and well cared for and the referees were not going to stand for any crap if the players wanted to fight or play dirty. Daniel got hurt in the first league because some of the other teams were not so friendly and the referees were to scared to call anything. They took fourth in this league. They managed to win the Championship in the second league. They all played very well I would sometimes take the dogs to the practices and the coach's kids loved to play with Sophia. Anyway the team won and they got a trophy and some medals and after the game we grilled up some food at our house and again I had to make some tres leche cake, which everyone loved and were surprise that I had made it myself. Daniel was invited to play indoor soccer but he didn't really want to, which I thought was a good call on his part because he seemed to need a break from it. I am sure he will play again in the summer.

Okay so since I haven't been updating as well as I should have I am going to throw a bunch of info at you at once. In August we had my birthday, it was a nice day I made a roast and we had some ice cream cake. A few of my friends came over and it was a nice evening. I receive many cards and I am sure I got some presents as well, but it was so long ago that I can't remember.
Then we had Daniel's birthday which was also nice it was just me and him that night. I made a shrimp lasagna, which I wasn't sure would come out very good because I had never made anything like it before but it was great, and a tres leche cake, which he later told me that he like so much that if I ever wanted to kill him I should just poison the tres leche cake. I said that was good to know, but didn't think I would really need that information. Some of his friends did come over the next day, had some of the leftovers and really enjoyed them.
